This was the first walk I have done for some time. Family health issues meant that I was needed at home, but today it was great to get out in the early morning with Belinda. The last couple of weeks have been so hot and sunny that early morning is the best time for a walk! We chose lanes and footpaths that had plenty of shade...
Despite the heat, we saw some beautiful flower displays. Somebody must be doing plenty of watering!
The crops are ripening fast and the farmers have already been harvesting. Towards the end of the walk, temperatures were so high that the cattle, pictured above, had found that sticking their heads in the hedge was the way to keep cool!
