Although short of time, as is quite usual on a Friday, we stepped on it, to make sure we got a sensible walk in! Dry and bright, everything we saw this morning looked quite vibrant. We past the allotments, still full of bounty and some amazing looking pumpkins at the ready for lantern making.
Colette Park looked pristine as usual, due to constant care and attention of the hard working staff we see most mornings..
We passed the Community Centre in Paul Street today, and remarked on how it would make a wonderful Town Hall. Shepton is lacking a good central meeting place. With a little money spent it could be spruced up and be made to look very grand again - firstly a power wash to reveal the Ashlared Doulting Limestone and away with those net curtains !! Need to show off those huge beautiful semi-circular windows! This great example of a Georgian Non Conformist Chapel could be a great asset for all.
