TALKING SKINCARE...

Not walking today - other commitments!  So I just thought I would take this opportunity to talk skin...  Change of seasons and weather can dull your skin.  The way to counteract this, and bring the freshness back, is to exfoliate.  The definition of exfoliation is to remove the oldest dead skin cells on the skin's outermost surface. Facials involve this process, as does microdermabrasion and the chemical peels that you can get at medical spas.  Or you can buy a product and do it yourself...

However, if you go down this route do find an exfoliator or scrub that is gentle.  In fact, 'gentle' is the watchword, as products that contain rough particles or granules can cause damage to the skin and lead to tears!  Get advice from a therapist, like me!  Or, somebody who knows what they are talking about at the store's beauty department.  With your chosen scrub, use your ring finger to work it in, with a small circular motion, covering each area only once...

One last tip - assess your skin on a daily basis.  Like the weather, it changes constantly, and instead of going into auto pilot, look, feel and assess what it needs - could be extra moisture or perhaps some exfoliation... That way you nip ageing in the bud!
